چکیده

Hypertension is one of the leading diseases cardiovascular system. It manifested by changes in arterial stiffness. Cardiovascular reactivity, especially blood pressure (BP), during cold pressor test (CPT) depending on various factors. Undoubtedly, stress most important The aim study to investigate effects CPT responses healthy young subjects. 56 individuals aged between 21 and 26 years have been investigated. (BP, heart rate, aortic pulse wave velocity) were recorded using applanation tonometry. Medical Outcomes Study Sleep Scale State-Trait Anxiety Inventory assessed. 32,14%(n=18) who had showed difference systolic BP more than 22 mm Hg diastolic 18 after defined as hyperreactors. Hyperreactors a significantly higher increase sleep disturbances (P > 0.01) anxiety when compared normoreaktors. used diagnose reactivity assessment perceived can help identify candidates for future risk hypertonic disease.

Responses to mild cold stress are predicted by different individual characteristics in young and older subjects.

Older individuals' ability to maintain core temperature during cold stress is impaired; however, the relative importance of individual characteristics that influence this response are unknown. The purpose of this study was to determine the relative influence of individual characteristics on core temperature and tissue insulation (I(t)) during mild cold stress. Forty-two young (23 +/- 1 yr, rang...

Blood pressure and endocrine responses of healthy subjects in cold pressor test after acutely increased dietary sodium intake.

The objective of the study was to compare blood pressure and endocrine responses in a cold pressure test in young healthy subjects who had shown increased blood pressure during an acutely increased sodium intake. Subjects (n = 53) added 121 mmol sodium into their normal diet for one week. If the mean arterial pressure had increased by a minimum of 5 mmHg compared to the control measure, they we...

Aging affects the cardiovascular responses to cold stress in humans.

Cardiovascular-related mortality peaks during cold winter months, particularly in older adults. Acute physiological responses, such as increases in blood pressure, in response to cold exposure may contribute to these associations. To determine whether the blood pressure-raising effect (pressor response) of non-internal body temperature-reducing cold stress is greater with age, we measured physi...

Water ingestion affects orthostatic challenge-induced blood pressure and heart rate responses in young healthy subjects: gender implications.

Evidence exists that women have lower orthostatic tolerance than men during quiescent standing. Water ingestion has been demonstrated to improve orthostatic tolerance in patients with severe autonomic dysfunction. We therefore sought to test the hypothesis that water ingestion would improve orthostatic tolerance in healthy young women more than in aged-matched men. Thirty seven (22 men and 15 w...

Cardiovascular responses to cold exposure.

The prevalence of hypertension is increased in winter and in cold regions of the world. Cold temperatures make hypertension worse and trigger cardiovascular complications (stroke, myocardial infarction, heart failure, etc.). Chronic or intermittent exposure to cold causes hypertension and cardiac hypertrophy in animals. The purpose of this review is to provide the recent advances in the mechani...
